When we are unable to see the light that contains us, we believe in darkness. When we cannot feel our relationship to the rest of the universe, we believe we are alone. When we are unaware of the transcendent radiance that permeates our being, we believe there is no love in our life. We spend our lives entombed in a trance of identity and meaning, sensation and thought, memory and imagination. In each version of this unending present moment, just beyond the periphery of the self and the self’s interests is a universe of creation, unimaginable love, and endless wonder. Unfortunately for the great masses of humanity, these things cannot penetrate the blindness and beliefs of our kind.
Beliefs are truly powerful. What we believe, we will soon find before us. This is resonance. Just as a tuning fork will set an adjacent one in matching motion, whenever we think something is true it seems to manifest in our surroundings. This is why anyone who is interested in discovering the truth about God and the universe must first realize intellectual and emotional stillness. Without this stillness we will simply see the reflection of ourselves in the form of what we already know and believe, desire and fear.
Only when we are truly still can we discover the divine nature of this universe. In this experiencing we will find that all things are present in one time in one place. There is only what is, and all that is--is this moment. The ideas of "then" and "there" of “not here” and “not now” that are inherent in our life experiences are illusions created by our memory and imagination. Both of which incidentally, like their creations, are part of this unending present moment. So, it is only here, within this eternal moment, that Divine light can be seen, true love can be experienced, and we are never alone.
